East Brunswick Honors President Of Health Council On Retirement

Dr. Ken Freedman served the community for over 30 years.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ —On Monday, council honored Dr. Ken Freedman on his retirement from the East Brunswick Advisory Health Council. Freedman served the community for over 30 years.

Freedman has been a member of the East Brunswick Advisory Health Council since 1992, and served as President from 1994 to 2022.

Freedman has been an pillar of leadership in East Brunswick, serving as a Board Member of East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce, a Trustee of the East Brunswick Public Library, and the Founder of the Advisory Health Council.

He retired on Dec. 31, 2024. Freedman thanked the Council and said it was an honor to serve the community.

Mayor Brad Cohen said East Brunswick was lucky to have resident who gave their time to serve the township in different ways.

“I know that you’ve taken your role on the Health Advisory Council extremely seriously and provided some unbelievable amount of programming that the community has benefitted from,” Cohen said. “On behalf of our entire Township, please accept our congratulations and appreciation for the work and time you’ve given to East Brunswick.”
