Kindergarten Registration Opens For 2025-26 In East Brunswick

Children who will be five years of age on or before October 31, 2025, are eligible for the program.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The East Brunswick School District has now opened applications for a full-day Kindergarten program for the 2025-26 school year.

Children who will be five years of age on or before October 31, 2025, are eligible for the East Brunswick Public School full-day Kindergarten program.

The district is accepting registration in two ways - either in-person or drop-and-go.

In-person registrations will take place at the East Brunswick Public Schools Administration Building, 760 Route 18.

  • Wednesday, Feb. 5, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 7, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

In-person registrations do not require an appointment, and the students do not need to attend.

For the drop-and-go, all paperwork can be dropped off at 760 Route 18. Parents and guardians will receive an email confirmation when their registration has been processed.

Kindergarten students must be registered by Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in order to participate in the June Kindergarten classroom, visit and screening.

To qualify for the program, student and parent/legal guardian must reside in East Brunswick at the time of registration. Anticipated new home closings or future leases will not be accepted.

East Brunswick Proof of Residency Requirements for Registration

  • A Deed or current mortgage statement (for homeowners) or entire current lease (for renters) in the name of parent/guardian.
  • A minimum of two different utility bills, currently dated (within 30 days), which include parent/guardian's name and reflect an East Brunswick address are required. (i.e. gas, electric, cable, water/sewer, etc.)
  • Confirmation of utility service or printed online statements are acceptable and must be presented at the time of registration.  If you have just moved to your East Brunswick home, you have 30 days to provide current utility bills. 
  • Registrants who do not own or lease their own home but are domiciled with a valid East Brunswick resident must complete a residency form and affidavit to be submitted to the Superintendent's office.  This process must be completed prior to student registration.  If you live with an East Brunswick resident, please call 732-613-6980 for information.

Required Student Records for Registration

  • Student's birth certificate
  • Students’ current immunization records must be provided at the time of registration.
  • For any custody issues, legal documentation must be provided.
  • If transferring from another school district in NJ, a transfer card from the former school must be presented at the time of registration.
  • A copy of the student's current IEP/504 if applicable.

Here’s the three-step registration process that must be completed by each student:

Step 2: Compile additional documentation and print registration packets

Step 3: Attend one of the in-person registration dates (Feb. 5 or Feb. 7) or drop all paperwork off at 760 Route 18.
