David Lawrence Cole, 83, died Thursday, June 14, at Golden Living Care Center, Old Bridge.
Born in Nutley, he resided in Spotswood for many years. He served in the US Marine Corps for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He then worked for the US Post Office in East Brunswick for 20 years, retiring in 1996.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Brower Cole; five sons, David and his wife Marianne of Pennsylvania, Robert of Jackson, William and his wife Kathy of North Carolina, Thomas and his wife Anita of Cream Ridge, and John and his wife Christine of Spotswood; a daughter, Dorothy and her husband Kenneth Kersey of East Brunswick; two sisters, Lois Cotton of Burlington and Gloria Cole of Bloomfield; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 18, in the , 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Interment followed at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
