OBITUARY: Margaret J. Brown Javelin

Margaret J. Brown Javelin was a former teacher at the East Brunswick School District.

Margaret J. Brown Javelin, 83, died Wednesday, June 27, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. 

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Monroe Township since 1957. Prior to her retirement in 1994, she was a teacher for the East Brunswick School System for 30 years.

She was a member of AARP, the National Education Association, the NJ Education Association and the Middlesex County Retired Educators Association.

She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Spotswood, and was a member of the parish Rosary Society. 

She was a part of the “fun bunch” that got together every month for lunch, and she loved going to Atlantic City every month.  She was a genuine, true person, and was a lady in every sense.

She was predeceased by her dear friend, Nancy Palazzolo in 2006.

Surviving are two nieces, Jamie and Stacey Shkoler; and her dear friends Stephen and Geri Palazzolo.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, at 9:30 a.m. in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick.  Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel Mausoleum, Marlboro.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn.  38105.  For information, directions or to send condolences to family, visit www.rezemfh.com.
