OBITUARY: Patricia A. Havrilla Madama

Patricia A. Havrilla Madama, 71, died Monday.

Patricia A. Havrilla Madama, 71, died Monday, June 25, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. 

Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in Spotswood since 1965. Prior to her retirement in 2002, she was a secretary in several departments for the Borough of Spotswood for 11 years.

She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Spotswood, and was a former member of the Spotswood Democratic Club.

She was predeceased by her sister, Bette Ann Cohen in 2002.

Surviving are her husband, Albio Madama; a son, Christian and his wife Julia Madama of South Amboy; two daughters, Kyleann and her husband Eric Thostesen of Branchburg, and Kirsten Comley of Mullica Hill; two brothers, George Havrilla of Alexandria, Va., and Dempsey Havrilla of North Brunswick; a sister, Yvonne LaVerda of Cranford; six grandchildren, Erica, Alyssa, Christian, Olivia, Chance and Dalton; two step grandchildren, Michelle and Jonathan; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services was held Friday at the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew R.C. Church, East Brunswick.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn.  38105.  For information, directions or to send condolences to family, visit www.rezemfh.com.
