OBITUARY: Patricia B. Ruffley

Patricia B. Ruffley, 77, of East Brunswick, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 17.

She was a kind, gentle and generous soul who lived her life with grace for others. Born in Bronx, N.Y., she graduated from St. Pius V. She married Michael F. Ruffley on April 5, 1953 and in 1964 moved to East Brunswick.

Patricia was employed by St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick, in the Pediatrics Department for over 17 years, retiring in 2000.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Margaret McAuliffe. She is survived by her children, Michael J. (Vickie), Spotswood, Kevin (Edith), Alexandria, Va., Patty (Jay) Norway, East Brunswick, and William of East Brunswick, who was her loving caretaker; her grandchildren Michael and Kristine, Spotswood, and Nora, East Brunswick.

She is also survived by her sisters, Sarah Gleeson , Bronx, N.Y., Margaret Kehoe, Monroe, N.Y., Rose Maguire, Portland, Ore., and Irene (Neil) Walker , Chester, N.Y.; many nieces, nephews and friends. A Funeral Liturgy was offered Thursday, June 21 from St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Old Bridge. Interment followed at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Patricia's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105, or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780, N.Y., N.Y. 10008-0780.
