Township Food Drive Is This Week

The township food drive will run Monday through Friday. Food collected will be given to township residents in need and to M.C.F.O.O.D.S.

During the summer months, the need for emergency food increases at area food banks and for many families in the community. Running Monday through Friday, food collected through the drive will be distributed to East Brunswick families in need and to M.C.F.O.O.D.S. — Middlesex County’s Emergency Food Distribution Network.

Items most needed are peanut butter, jelly, brown rice, tuna fish, macaroni and cheese; canned fruits, vegetables, meats, stews and pastas; paper products; toiletries such as soap, shampoo, and toothpaste; baby supplies including diapers and wipes; canned and packaged goods only, no glass items please.  Gift cards to local grocery stores in any denomination will be gratefully accepted.

Donations may be dropped off at East Brunswick Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services, 350 Dunhams Corner Road, East Brunswick between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 732-390-6797 or go to www.eastbrunswick.org.
