FLORHAM PARK, NJ — Florham Park Police are reminding drivers that speeding has deadly consequences, after stopping a driver this week who was going 131 miles per hour on Route 24.
A Florham Park officer, with the help of Morris Township Police, stopped this driver Tuesday night, according to a post from police.
Officers stopped another driver last week for going 98 mph on Columbia Turnpike in a 50 mph zone, and said someone else was stopped for going 61 mph through the center of town.

"We don’t want to respond to ANY fatalities, especially ones that could easily be prevented," police said in a post Thursday. "We have been aggressively trying to slow people down on our residential roads, but we cannot and will not ignore the other roadways likely to cause deaths, purely because of speed itself."
