East Hanover, Florham Park Are Among Top 50 NJ Towns: NJ Monthly

EAST HANOVER/FLORHAM PARK, NJ — East Hanover and Florham Park were ranked among the top 100 towns in New Jersey by New Jersey Monthly magazine.

New Jersey Monthly looked at several factors to determine the rankings, including average tax bills, the average change in tax bills since 2016, median home prices and their changes since 2016, the crime rate per 1,000 residents, and local high schools' rank by New Jersey Monthly.

East Hanover was ranked No. 25 and Florham Park No. 39.

Bedminster residents' tax bills have increased 5.4 percent since 2016, and Bernards residents' 6.9 percent.

The median home price in East Hanover is $480,000, which is 4.3 percent more than what it was in 2016. Home prices in Florham Park have increased 4.7 percent during that same time, according to New Jersey Monthly. The median home price there is $575,000.

East Hanover and Florham Park have low crime rates at 11.9 and nine incidents reported per 1,000 people, respectively.
