Future Business Leaders to be Found at Hanover Park

Twelve students took home state awards from the leadership conference.

Hanover Park High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the state conference in March and brought home more than just swag.

  • Twelve students were awarded state awards in the following categories:
  • Innovation Incubator, first place: Karen Gu, Claudia Hsieh, Rachel Korkodilos, Briana Li and Alice Vinogradsky
  • Innovation Incubator, third place: Debbie Doyle and Nicole Fernicola
  • Business Plan, fourth place: Jeevan Jacob and Livia Thomas
  • Help Desk, fourth place: Tim Maloney
  • Electronic Career Portfolio, fourth place: John Ni
  • Business Communication, fourth place: Emiyl Portuguese
  • NJ-FBLA Gold Member: Brielle Scuteri

Also, nine FBLA members from Hanover Park qualified for national competitions and will travel to Anaheim, Calif. in June to represent New Jersey at the FBLA National Leadership Conference. These student are:

  • Digital Video Production, second place: Jake Block, Carter Campbell and Amine Hosseini
  • Marketing, second place: Fatima Dharsee, Brielle Scuteri and Fatima Tran
  • Word Processing 2, first place: Michael Cerniglia
  • Personal Finance, third place: John Lu
  • Technology Concepts, first place: Sohum Pawar

Hanover Park High student Sohum Pawar was elected to serve as the next president of NJ-FBLA.
