Morris Co. Man Sexually Assaulted Minor In Parking Lot: Police

WHIPPANY, NJ - A Morris County man has been charged in the sexual assault of a minor inside a vehicle in an Essex County parking lot last week, authorities said.

Alan Kelsey, 69, of Whippany, was arrested and charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The charges stem from a call to Livingston police reporting suspicious activity in a parking lot on Aug. 2, the prosecutor’s office said. Officers found the vehicle a short time later and arrested Kelsey at the scene.
