Giveaways, Deals In Store As Revamped Party City Opens In Morris County

EAST HANOVER, NJ — The party has arrived — in the same place, but with a fresh new look. North Jersey-based Party City is inviting nearby residents to a celebration this weekend as they re-open an updated store location in Morris County.

The retailer said this location, at 346 Route 10 West in East Hanover, is a debut of their new store format — including refreshed layouts for their balloon shop and for birthday celebrations of all kinds.

Party City has giveaways, discounts, family-friendly activities, and demonstrations lined up at the store from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 (more on that below). The first 25 customers will receive $25 gift cards, as well.

The company, which is headquartered in Woodcliff Lake, said the East Hanover store is one of several across the country where the new format will be introduced this year. Another location in Louisiana will also debut the new format on Saturday.

Party City sells a range of items for birthdays, graduations, holidays, weddings, and other celebrations — including décor, tableware and paper products, candy, costumes, and accessories.

According to Party City, their new store design includes "birthday worlds," where instead of the traditional aisle layout there are two mini-shops with a selection of items for kids' parties or general birthday celebrations.

The store also touts a reinvented balloon shopping experience, with easier accessibility to the retailer's assortment of colorful balloons.

Shoppers at the East Hanover location can get a 25 percent discount on any single item, 10 percent off of balloon orders placed in-store on opening day, and 10 percent off all candy buffet items during the event on Saturday. At 10 a.m., Party City employees will also demonstrate how to create a candy buffet and show how to build a balloon column at 10:30 a.m.

There will also be a coffee bar, face-painting station, product giveaways, and a raffle.
