Revised Athletic Complex Plans Up For Vote Next Week
Special meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.

Revised athletic complex plans for Hanover Park and Whippany Park high schools are scheduled to be presented and voted on by the school board at a special Hanover Park Regional Board of Education meeting next week.
The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the board offices at Hanover Park High School.
The scope of revisons to the plan, including to the proposed parking configuration at Whippany Park High School, was agreed upon at a special public meeting Monday based on community input at an Oct. 17 public hearing on the project, Board President Joan Seery said.

The district's architect will incorporate the changes and prepare final plans for the Nov. 1 vote, Seery said.
The district plans to overhaul the athletic facilities at the district's two high schools, saying the upgrades are long overdue.

The improvements are expected to cost around $20 million, and the board is aiming to advance a referendum on the project in time for a March 12 vote, asking voters whether or not the district may borrow the money for the project.
