Assault By Auto, Warrant: East Windsor Police Blotter

The East Windsor police blotter dated Sept. 5 had the following reports:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On Sept. 1, at 6:38 p.m. an officer responded to the Windsor Hotel for a suspicious incident report. The incident was resolved however, an involved party was found to have an active warrant out of Ocean Township. The 38-year-old East Windsor resident was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.

On Sept. 2 at 3:28 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Twin Rives Drive North and Fairfield Road for a report of a crash. One driver sustained a minor injury to her arm as a result of the crash and was taken to a local hospital. The at-fault driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. Additionally, the officer found prescription drugs inside of the at-fault driver’s vehicle. The driver was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on a summons pending court action. He was charged with assault by auto, DUI, careless driving and other offenses.
