• East Windsor to Launch New Year's Food Drive to Benefit Rise Food Pantry (tapinto.net) — East Windsor Township is kicking off its annual New Year’s Food Drive on January 1, 2026, asking residents to donate non-perishable items throughout the year to support the Rise Food Pantry. The pantry, located nearby in Hightstown, operates multiple days and evenings each month using a “Choice Pantry” model that lets local families select the foods they need with dignity while reducing waste.

• Cranbury agrees to pay $2.5 million for affordable housing property (northjersey.com) — Cranbury has agreed to pay $2.5 million for a River Road property to build a 60-unit senior affordable housing complex, with a long-term PILOT tax agreement in place. The land is owned by AMD Empire Investments of East Windsor, tying local investors to a nearby township’s major housing and redevelopment decision now headed for court approval in late January.
