The following is a summary of incidents as reported by East Windsor police:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On Feb. 22 at 12 p.m., an officer responded to M&T Bank for a report of an individual inside the bank who was attempting to conduct fraudulent transactions. The Trenton resident was found to be in possession of a fraudulent Maryland driver’s license and a fraudulent bank card. The 38-year-old was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Feb. 23, at 12:50 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle had a brake light out. The driver, a Hightstown resident, was found to have an active warrant out of Hightstown and was placed under arrest. The 56-year-old was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.

On Feb. 23, at 2:30 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of an individual leaving the store with merchandise concealed in a plastic storage bin. The officer arrived and found the woman trying to leave the area in her vehicle. The officer conducted a traffic stop, spoke with the driver, and confirmed the driver shoplifted. The 56-year-old Pennington resident was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Feb. 22, 3:04 p.m., an officer responded to Walmart for a past tense shoplifting report. There were two people inside of the store that previously shoplifted and were currently attempting to exchange items at the customer service desk. Both provided the officers with false information and one individual was found to have active warrants. Both were placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters. One person was released on a complaint summons pending court action and the other was taken to Mercer County Corrections where she was detained on the active warrants.

On Feb. 24, at 7:03 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle’s taillights were not illuminated and the vehicle was being operated erratically. The driver, an East Windsor resident, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 54-year-old was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Feb. 25, at 7:42 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle’s temporary registration had expired. The driver, an East Windsor resident, was found to have active warrants and was placed under arrest. The 37-year-old was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later transported to Mercer County Corrections where she was detained on the warrants.

On Feb. 25, at 9:36 p.m., an officer responded to Walmart for a past tense shoplifting report. The suspect attempted to exit the store with $257.98 worth of merchandise before being stopped by loss prevention personnel. The items were recovered, but the suspect fled the area. The case was assigned to a detective who identified the suspect, a 19-year-old Trenton resident. The suspect was charged on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Feb. 26, at 1:48 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing several motor vehicle violations. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. The East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, but refused to comply with breath testing procedures. The 30-year-old was later released pending court action.

On Feb. 26, at 8:58 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle being operated at a high speed. The driver, a Lawrenceville resident, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and active warrants. The 36-year-old was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released after posting bail.

On Feb 26, at 1:20 p.m., an officer conducted a stop for a pedestrian traffic violation. The pedestrian was found to have an active warrant and was placed under arrest. The 41-year-old East Windsor resident, was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released after posting bail.
