The following is a summary of incidents as reported by East Windsor Police:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ - On Feb. 27, at 9:36 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Hightstown and was placed under arrest. The 44-year-old East Windsor resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail

On Feb. 28, at 12:10 p.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of Shell for a suspicious vehicle. The officer spoke with the occupant and noticed signs of narcotics activity. Robbinsville Police’s K-9 unit responded and the K-9 gave a positive indication to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. The officer searched the vehicle and found suspected heroin. The occupant, a 38-year-old Monroe resident, was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Feb. 28, 4:32 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after finding the vehicle did not have a front license plate and the rear license plate was not on file. The driver was found to have a suspended license and warrants out of Hamilton. The 27-year-old Marlton resident was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.

On March 1, at 9:32 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for an expired registration. As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver accelerated away from him up Route 130. The officer conducted a follow-up investigation and identified the driver, a 53-year-old Albany, NY resident who was charged on a complaint summons.

On March 2, at 1:06 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a cracked windshield. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Guttenberg and was placed under arrest. The driver, a 39-year-old Jersey City resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released on his own recognizance.

On March 2, at 10:05 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 39-year-old Cranbury resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On March 3, at 11:45 a.m., an officer stopped an individual for a pedestrian traffic violation. The pedestrian was found to have active warrants out of the Camden County Sheriff’s Office and Cherry Hill. The 31-year-old Cherry Hill resident was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, and later turned over to the custody of the Cherry Hill Police.

On Feb 26, at 1:48 a.m., an officer responded to the area of Route 571 and Route 133 for a report of a motor vehicle in a ditch. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 25-year-old Plainsboro resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On March 4 at 2:27 a.m., an officer was patrolling the parking lot of the Windsor Hotel and located a suspicious vehicle. The officer met with the driver and noticed signs of narcotics activity. The vehicle was searched and the officer found suspected heroin. The driver, a 36-year-old Toms Rivers resident, was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, and released on a complaint summons pending court action.

On Feb. 26 at 1:17 p.m., an officer responded to the parking lot East Windsor Town Center for a report of a suspicious tractor-trailer that had been idling for several hours. The driver was hunched over the wheel and initially unresponsive. A female occupant awoke the driver and both of them were asked to get out of the vehicle. The driver, a 50-year-old Whiting resident, failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Additionally, the officer noticed signs of narcotics activity. Robbinsville Police’s K-9 unit responded and gave a positive indication to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle yielded suspected heroin and associative drug paraphernalia. The female occupant provided the officer with a fake name and was found to have active warrants out of Toms River, Lawrence, Robbinsville, and Brick. The female, a 38-year-old Brick resident, was placed under arrest and they were taken to police headquarters where they were processed. Both were later released on complaint summonses.

On March 4 at 7:56 p.m., an officer responded to the area for a report of a three-car motor vehicle crash. The driver at fault showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 22-year-old East Windsor resident was transported to police headquarters, processed, but refused to comply with breath testing procedures. The driver was later released pending court action.

On March 4 at 11:06 p.m., an officer responded to the woman’s restroom in the lobby of police headquarters for a report of a female who was possibly unconscious. The officer found the woman attempting to use suspected heroin and placed her under arrest. The woman attempted to destroy the suspected heroin and was escorted to the processing room. A further search revealed additional suspected heroin. The 38-year-old Brick resident was charged on a complaint summons pending court action.
