Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police Blotter dated Aug. 29 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ —On Aug. 21, at 12:35 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 130 North after observing a vehicle with an inoperable taillight. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license and active warrants out of Ewing Township, Trenton City, and Hamilton Township. The driver, a 29-year-old Trenton resident, was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the custody of Hamilton Police on the active warrant out of their jurisdiction.
On Aug. 21, at 9:20 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 130 North after learning the vehicle’s registration was suspended and the registered owner’s driver’s license was suspended. The officer confirmed the driver was the owner of the vehicle and had an active warrant out of East Brunswick. The driver, a 27-year-old East Brunswick resident, was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the custody of the East Brunswick Police.
On Aug. 22, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 130 North after observing the vehicle’s driverside brake light was inoperable and learning the vehicle’s registration expired. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Franklin Township. The driver, a 32-year-old Monroe resident was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released after posting bail.

On Aug. 24, at 1:06 a.m., an office conducted a traffic stop on Route 130 South after observing the vehicle tailgating another vehicle. The officer recognized one of the passengers who was found to have an active warrant out of Monmouth County. The passenger, a 38-year-old Manalapan resident was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later transported to Mercer County Corrections where he was detained on the active warrant.
On Aug. 25, at 6:50 a.m., an officer responded to Monmouth Street on report of a possible intoxicated driver asleep at the wheel. The caller provided a vehicle description and a short time later the officer located the vehicle idling with the driver asleep behind the wheel. The driver, a 35-year-old East Windsor resident, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The driver was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.
