Reckless Driving, DUI: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police blotter through Wednesday had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On Aug. 8, 9:21 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Dutch Neck Road and McKinley Court for a report of a single-car crash. Upon arrival, the officer found the vehicle which collided with a utility pole. The driver fled the scene but was found a short time later. The driver, an East Windsor resident, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 29-year-old was taken to police headquarters and processed, however, he refused to comply with breath testing. He was later released pending court action.
On Aug. 9, 7:13 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Route 133 West when he observed a vehicle driving under the posted speed limit and failing to maintain its lane. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver who showed signs of impairment. The driver, an East Windsor resident was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The driver was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.
On Aug. 10, at 2:09 a.m. an officer found a vehicle being operated erratically in the area of Lake Drive and Route 33. The vehicle continued on to Route 133 West where the officer conducted a traffic stop. The officer met with the driver who showed signs of impairment. The driver refused to comply with field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. The Hightstown resident was taken to police headquarters and processed, however, refused to comply with breath testing. The 40-year-old was later released pending court action.
