Teen Succumbs To Injuries After Car Crashes Into Tree In West Windsor

2 people were seriously injured after their car crashed into a tree. The driver remains in serious condition, police said.

WEST WINDSOR, NJ — The 18-year-old passenger involved in the crash that took place Aug. 20has succumbed to his injuries, West Windsor police said.

On Saturday, August 24, around 8:51 am, the passenger, Daniel P. Haas, succumbed to his injuries. The driver, whose name has not been released, remains in serious condition, police said.

On Aug. 20, at 3:39 a.m., police received a call about a crash on Lanwin Blvd. in the area of Providence Drive. On arrival, police found two people trapped inside a Tesla that had struck a tree.

West Windsor EMS and Fire units began extrication efforts with help from nearby EMS services.
Both, the driver and the front seat passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and were taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment, police said.

According to investigation, the car was traveling in the northbound lane of Lanwin Blvd., when it left the road and struck a tree just past the intersection of Providence Drive.
