2 Men Charged For Possession Of Ghost Gun, Narcotics In Edison
Tyir Pugh and Deshaun Stephens, both Edison residents, were arrested and charged, police said Monday.
EDISON, NJ – Two Edison men were arrested and charged following a three-month investigation that uncovered a ghost gun and various narcotics, Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said Monday.
The department's Vice & Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the SWAT team and Criminal Investigations Bureau, executed court-authorized search warrants at a south Edison residence on the morning of April 1.
The operation yielded quantities of suspected cocaine, ecstasy, oxycodone, suboxone, and marijuana, along with a 9mm ghost gun, ammunition, and multiple high-capacity magazines, Bryan said.

Authorities charged Tyir Pugh, 42, and Deshaun Stephens, 18, both Edison residents, with:
- Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute
- Multiple counts of Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances
- Unlawful Possession of a Handgun
- Possession of a Ghost Gun
- Possession of High-Capacity Magazines
- Possession of a Firearm While Committing a CDS Offense
Pugh faces an additional charge of Being a Certain Person Not to Possess a Firearm.

Both suspects are being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility pending further proceedings.
"This operation is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our officers," Bryan said. "Removing illegal firearms and narcotics from our streets is critical to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents."
Mayor Sam Joshi praised the efforts of local law enforcement. "Their relentless efforts to remove dangerous drugs and illegal firearms from our streets make Edison a safer place for all residents," Joshi said.
