72-Year-Old Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash On I-287 In Edison: NJSP

The crash occurred around 10:36 a.m. near milepost 1.6 in Edison.

EDISON, NJ — A 72-year-old Piscataway woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on I-287 South in Edison on Tuesday morning, New Jersey State Police said.

The collision occurred around 10:36 a.m. near milepost 1.6 in Edison. Judith Kennen was pronounced dead following the crash that also left her 77-year-old husband, Albert Kennen, with minor injuries, NJSP said.

According to preliminary investigation, a Ford box truck was traveling southbound in the center right lane while a Honda minivan occupied the center left lane. The front right portion of the Honda minivan struck the rear of the box truck in the area of milepost 1.6.

Albert, who was driving the Honda minivan, sustained minor injuries in the crash. The driver of the box truck reported no injuries at the scene and remained on location following the crash, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation.
