Edison Man Faces Murder Charge After Deadly South Plainfield Stabbing: MCPO
The stabbing, which took place May 19, left one person dead and another injured, cops said.
EDISON, NJ – An Edison man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in South Plainfield that left a man dead and a woman injured, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
On May 19, around 1:57 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting a stabbing at a residence on Tooz Place in South Plainfield.
On arrival, authorities found Brandon Andrews-Cruz, 38, of Raritan, and a 32-year-old woman from South Plainfield with stab wounds.

Andrews-Cruz was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman was taken to the hospital, where she was treated for her injuries. She has since been released from the hospital.
According to an investigation, Pablo Cicero, 46, of Edison, was the perpetrator, Ciccone said.

On Thursday, Cicero was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, first-degree home invasion burglary, two counts of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and two counts of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
Cicero is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a pre-trial detention hearing.
