Edison Man Charged For Sexually Assaulting Women He Met On Facebook: Cops

EDISON, NJ - A 31-year-old Edison man was charged for sexually assaulting a woman he met over Facebook, a few months after he was arrested on the same allegations, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said.
Faton Boqolli, 31, of Edison, was charged with sexual assault and criminal sexual contact on Friday.
On Jan. 10, Det. Clint Hetzell from the Edison Police began an investigation into allegations of sexual assault involving a woman. She told police that Boqolli had sexually assaulted her after they met on Facebook. As a result of this investigation, Boqolli was arrested and charged, Ciccone said.

Authorities revealed that on Aug. 5, 2024, they began an investigation after another woman told police that Boqolli had sexually assaulted her after they met on social media.
The investigation revealed that Boqolli had met the woman through Facebook, and during their in-person meeting, he sexually assaulted her, Ciccone said.
As a result of this investigation, Boqolli was arrested and charged on Aug. 6, 2024, with sexual assault, criminal restraint, and criminal sexual contact.

He is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a Pre-Trial detention hearing.
