Edison Police Department Gets 1st Female K-9 Handler
Officer Alyssa Husko is the department's first female K-9 handler, with her partner K-9 Mack.

EDISON, NJ – The Edison Police Department has a new K-9 and handler. Officer Alyssa Husko became the department’s first female K-9 handler, with her partner K-9 Mack, the police department said.
Mack was rescued from a California shelter by K9 Protectors and trained in Pennsylvania. He was then donated to the police department by the nonprofit organization.
Officer Husko and Mack attended K-9 school for training.

“They both excelled at the Middlesex County K9 Handlers School. K9 Mack, a dedicated narcotics detection K9, loves chewing on bones and cozy couch naps when off duty,” the police department said.
