Edison’s 4th Annual Diwali Celebration Returns With Drone Show, Food, Music

EDISON, NJ - Edison will host its 4th annual Diwali celebration on Saturday, Oct. 25. The centerpiece of this year's Diwali celebration will be an 18-minute drone and fireworks display.
The free community event will run from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Papaianni Park, offering families an afternoon and evening of cultural festivities, entertainment, and over 100,000 lights.
Patel Brothers is sponsoring the drone show, which will feature the story of Diwali.

Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy live music and dance performances, along with a variety of food vendors and mehndi (henna) art.
The festival will culminate with a traditional diya lighting ceremony - the oil lamp ritual that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness during Diwali.

Attendees are advised to bring their own chairs for comfortable viewing of the performances and drone show.
The Festival of Lights has become an annual tradition in Edison, celebrating the township's vibrant South Asian community and sharing Diwali traditions with residents of all backgrounds. The event is free and open to the public.
