Edison School District Is Seeking Preschool Expansion Aid From NJ

The district is seeking aid from the Department of Education and is hoping to provide full-day preschool for a portion of eligible students.

EDISON, NJ - Edison Township Public Schools is pursuing preschool expansion aid for the next school year, district officials announced.

The district is seeking aid from the Department of Education and is hoping to provide full-day preschool for a portion of eligible students beginning in September 2024.

Eligible children are those who reside in Edison and whose date of birth is Oct. 2, 2019 through Oct. 1, 2021.

On or about Dec. 18 residents can expect a survey from the school district. The survey will help district officials with the upcoming town hall meetings to answer parent and guardian questions about the program.

The virtual town hall meetings are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, 1 p.m. and Thursday, Jan 11, 2024, at 6 p.m.
