Metuchen Pops Returns: Over 50 Artists To Transform Downtown Into Pop Art Paradise

METUCHEN, NJ – Downtown Metuchen will transform into an open-air gallery of pop culture creativity when Metuchen Pops returns for its second annual celebration on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Building on last year's successful debut, this year's festival has expanded significantly, featuring more than 50 participating artists—double the number from 2024.

Featured Artists Include Acting Out Studio, Aldo Zar Sanchez, Alex Lloyd, Alfred Dudley, Andrea Martinez, Bella Wess, Bob Diken, Bowery Art Collective, Bravo Karena, BXE Buttons x StaciaMade, Charles & Jonathan Raimondo, Cramcept, Cynthia Reynolds, David LaMorte, among others.

The free public event will showcase pop art in all its dynamic forms, from live mural demonstrations and graffiti art to comics, illustrations, photography, and wearable art.

Festival highlights include interactive experiences, a unique "battle of the walls" competition, and pieces by internationally recognized artist ChrisRWK.

“Pop Art is everywhere and transcends time. Metuchen Pops brings that energy to life in the heart of our Downtown,” said Dawn Mackey, Metuchen Downtown Alliance Executive Director. “It is a chance to see artists in action, connect with them directly, and take home a piece of original work”.

Visitors can expect an immersive experience filled with Instagram-worthy moments as they watch live art creation and browse one-of-a-kind pieces available for purchase. The diverse lineup spans multiple artistic mediums and styles, ensuring something for every taste and interest.
