New Restaurant Ram & Rooster Is Now Open In Metuchen

The restaurant offers an eight-course tasting menu, with an extensive list of curated teas.

METUCHEN, NJ — Ram & Rooser, a Chinese-inspired fine dining restaurant is now open in Metuchen.

The restaurant offers a $128 eight-course tasting menu, using seasonal ingredients and produce from New Jersey.

Ram & Rooster is owned by Sean Yan, a former pastry chef at the acclaimed Heirloom Kitchen in Old Bridge. He has also worked at Mistral in Princeton, and Lita. This is his first restaurant project.

Named after Yan’s parents’ zodiac sign, Ram & Rooster blends New American cuisine with traditional Chinese ingredients and techniques.

The much-awaited restaurant’s menu includes dishes like scallop tempura, corn wonton, tomato bingfen, black bass and white peach ice cream. They only offer an extensive list of curated teas and non-alcoholic beverages.
