EDISON, NJ — Get ready to enjoy some sushi with a side of high-tech. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is set to open in Edison soon.

The Japan-based chain offers a tech-forward experience with authentic Japanese dishes served on a conveyor belt system.

The restaurant will be opening at Edison’s Festival Plaza, according to the company’s Facebook page. “We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome you all to dine with us,” the restaurant posted.

The restaurant's revolving sushi bar circulates throughout the restaurant with various offerings. Diners can also order from tablets at each booth and counter space. After being prepared, the food is sent down a conveyor belt directly to tables.

They have an extensive menu that includes sushi, hand rolls, sashimi, teppanyaki, ramen, desserts and more.

Founded in 1977, Kura established its revolving sushi bar concept in 2008. “As pioneers of the revolving sushi concept, the Kura family of companies have improved upon the developed innovative systems that combine advanced technology, premium ingredients, and affordable prices to enhance the unique dining experience,” according to the chain’s website.

Kura Sushi has over 500 locations in Japan, Taiwan and the U.S. In NJ they have a location in Jersey City and Fort Lee.
