Plays In The Park Announce 2019 Season Shows
Auditions will be held in April, and technical positions are still accepting applications.

EDISON, NJ — Plays In The Park is back for the 2019 season, bringing three shows to Roosevelt Park: Evita, Newsies, and The Addams Family.
Tickets are sold day-of at the box office, and are $7 for those 13 and up, $5 for senior citizens, and free for children 12 and under. You must bring your own camping chair.
Evita will play June 19 through June 29, with no Sunday show. It is about "a passionate woman who went from the streets of Argentina to show business stardom, to the highest levels of influence in Buenos Aires," and won the 1980 Tony Award for best musical.

Newsies will play July 10 through July 20, with no Sunday show. Inspired by the newsboy strike in 1899, the musical was first a Disney movie. "When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right and in doing so, win the hearts of America along the way," a description reads.
The Addams Family will wrap up the season and play July 31 through August 10, with no Sunday show. Based on the famed comic and TV show, "the plot revolves around Wednesday Addams, now a young woman, falling in love with a young man from a more conventional family and the culture clash that ensues."
