Traffic Signal At Metuchen's Grove & Middlesex Ave. Finally Installed

The signal will help to alleviate unnecessary back-ups on Grove Avenue.

METUCHEN, NJ - The traffic signal at the intersection of Grove Avenue and Middlesex Avenue in Metuchen has finally been installed.

Earlier this year, the New Jersey Department of Transportation informed the Borough it will be upgrading the traffic signal.

Metuchen has been seeking to make the upgrade for some time now as making a left onto Middlesex from Grove took a lot of time, causing traffic jams in the area.

Mayor Jonathan M. Busch informed the community about the recent upgrade saying it will go a long way towards “alleviating unnecessary back-ups on Grove Avenue” and making the busy intersection safer for pedestrians and drivers.

“Completion of this project required years of working with officials from the New Jersey Department of Transportation and we are particularly appreciative of their assistance, along with the help of our 18th District Legislators: Senator Patrick Diegnan, Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak and Assemblyman Sterley Stanley,” Busch said.
