P.O. Geovanny Buitron approached a parked, occupied vehicle in the parking lot of Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested the operator, a 45-year-old from Suffern, and the passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Paterson, after marijuana was located inside the vehicle. Both were released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

P.O. Ian Manelis responded to Sel-Rite Liquors, 17-65 River Road, and arrested a 48-year-old man from Wyckoff, after he was detained by a store employee for concealing an item, worth $10.65, and attempting to leave. He was released after being charged with shoplifting.

P.O. Tiller Uriarte initiated a motor vehicle stop on Fair Lawn Avenue at 6th Street and arrested the operator, a 34-year-old man from Paterson, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia & operating with a suspended license.

02/18/2020 8:15 pm Shoplifting

P.O. Anthony Ferreira responded to Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested a 52-year-old man from Paterson, after he was detained by store loss prevention with unpaid items in his backpack, totaling $83.65. Arrest warrants were located out out of Carteret ($2500), Paramus ($1000) & Elmwood Park ($100). He was charged with shoplifting, then handed over to Carteret Police.
