Freehold House Fire Under County Investigation: Fire Officials

FREEHOLD, NJ - A Freehold house fire currently being investigated by Monmouth County fire officials (photos from the scene below):

The fire on Brittany Drive broke out Thursday night just before midnight, the East Freehold Fire Company said in a statement.

“Chief 16-2-66 immediately had [the] county dispatch the box alarm bringing in our mutual aid companies,” the fire department said, adding that the scene was finally cleared about four hours later.

The Freehold Township Ind. Fire Company, Adelphia Fire Company, Freehold Fire Department Station 15 and Marlboro Fire Department provided mutual aid at the scene. No injuries were reported in the East Freehold Fire Company statement on Friday.

The incident is under investigation by the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office. It was not immediately clear what the cause of the fire was.
