Letter to the Editor: Freehold Clergy Association Thanks Donors, Patch

$1105 in donations has been received for the Hope Lutheran Church's "House a Homeless Man" program.

To the Editor,

The Freehold Clergy Association thanks you and Freehold Patch for publicizing our "House a Homeless Man" program. Indeed, houses of worship in the wider Freehold area are providing a caring welcome, toiletries and basic necessities, a hot dinner and a breakfast, and a warm place to sleep on an air mattress every night.

Your readers responded generously by sending donations, some anonymous, some delightfully in person to the , for this program.

The men are so grateful and we are too! So far $1105 has been received as a result of your article, which will host 221 bed-nights. (Last year we hosted 1100 bednights for 70 different men!) All identified donations have been acknowledged for tax purposes.

We want to thank you all for partnering with us to make this life-saving work possible. The members of the Freehold Clergy Association join me in wishing all in our community a blessed, happy and healthy New Year!
