MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Towns throughout Monmouth County will participate in National Night Out events on August 6.

The annual initiative is a community-building campaign that promotes partnership and camaraderie between police and their communities, according to the National Night Out website.

Events may feature games, food, giveaways and more.

Here’s what you need to know about National Night Out events happening near you:

Freehold Township
The Freehold Township Police Department will host their National Night Out on August 6 inside iPlay America from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

According to officials, attendees can enjoy free rides, pizza and snacks. If weather permits, police said the event will move outdoors.

iPlay America is located at 110 Schanck Road, Freehold.

Manalapan Township
The Manalapan Township Police Department and P.C. Richard & Son will host their National Night Out on August 6 at the Manalapan P.C. Richard & Son.

The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy live animals, games trucks, bouncy houses and more.

In the event of the projected rain, Manalapan Police said they will host a smaller event inside P.C. Richard & Son, which will include food provided by Wegmans and special appearances by Barbie and Moana.
