Obituary: Frank "Poppy" Naso, 86

Frank "Poppy" Naso, 86 of Manalapan, was a family man, U.S. Army Veteran and an ambulance driver for the City of New York.

Frank “Poppy” Naso, 86, of the Tennent section of Manalapan Township died on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at home. Naso was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Silvermead, Freehold Township in 1991 and then settling to Tennent in 2001. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the European Theater during World War II. Naso was an ambulance driver for the City of New York, Department of Hospitals for over thirty years, retiring in 1986. Even though All Seasons II was his second home, his family was the love of his life.

Naso was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla A. Naso; six brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by a son, Frank Naso and his wife, Vivian of Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Donna Miller and her husband Robert of Freehold Township; four grandchildren, Adam Miller of Freehold township, Matthew Miller and his wife, Katie of Long Island City, NY, Andrew Miller of Freehold Township, and Tracy Miller of Freehold Township; a brother, James Naso of South Carolina; a sister, Marie Pacinda of Howell; and many nieces and nephews, especially his niece Rosemarie Shanley of Lakewood.

Visiting at the , 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township, NJ on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011. Interment will follow in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
