Obituary: Peter S. Goetke, 61

Peter S. Goetke, 61, of Freehold Township, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at home. Born in Brooklyn, Goetke has lived in Freehold for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he was a manager for Verizon in Newark for 30 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Helen Goetke. He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Theresa, Christopher and Randi, and Matthew and Tamar, all of Freehold; his daughter and son-in-law, Kerri and Clinton Autry of Norman, OK; his three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jack and Alice of Crofton, MD, Paul of Sarasota, FL, and Thomas and Johanna of Jackson; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Susan Medlin of Jackson and Laura and Dave Tatninov of Mt. Holly; seven grandchildren; and his former wife, Nancy.

Family and friends are invited to visit on today from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a funeral service during the visitation, at the , in Freehold. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
