Car Overturns In Egg Harbor, Causing Minor Injuries: Police

A vehicle overturned Wednesday in a crash on Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — A vehicle overturned Wednesday in a crash on Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township. The two-car crash caused minor injuries, according to authorities.

Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash at the intersection of Tilton Road and Black Horse Pike at 9:42 a.m.

A driver in a 2020 Ram Pro-master Van was making a left onto the Black Horse Pike when he struck a 2000 Nissan X-terra driven by Marleny Taborda, 64, of Egg Harbor Township, according to police.

The preliminary investigation suggests that Taborda disregarded the red signal and entered the intersection, causing the collision, police said.

The impact of the collision caused Taborda’s car to rotate and overturn until it came to rest on the passenger side on the concrete median.

Taborda was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Egg Harbor Township EMS and taken to Shore Medical Center.

This crash is being investigated by Officer Nick Poletis, of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit. Anyone who witnessed the crash can contact the Traffic Safety Unit at 609-926-4045.
