Free Bird and Nature Walks Every Friday at Forsythe

Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, internationally famous as a birding and nature destination, is offering weekly bird and nature walks every Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The walks will meet at the refuge Visitor Information Center, 800 Great Creek Road in Galloway Township.

Fall is in full swing for migratory birds and August has seen Forsythe full of shorebirds and wading birds. The next few months will bring more wading birds and waves of songbirds to be enjoyed by refuge visitors, all with a backdrop of pristine salt marsh and coastal uplands. 

Park Ranger and expert birder/naturalist Don Freiday and Volunteer Master Naturalists at the refuge will guide these walks, which are suitable for adults and interested children accompanied by an adult. People of all experience levels are welcome, and loaner binoculars are available. No pre-registration is necessary.
