We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:
- "In my opinion, the biggest safety issue in Galloway is getting drivers to follow the traffic laws. Now that summer is coming , so many people are on the roads. Speeding, ignoring traffic signals and accidents are happening often on Route 30. Many drivers not paying attention to the road."
- "The roads need to be better lit at night, and no sidewalks in the majority of town makes it very unsafe for both drivers and pedestrian as well as bike traffic.
- "The morning and afternoon school traffic! Absegami, the two elementary schools and GTMS. It is so dangerous!"
- "Dark streets"
- "Crumbling state of roads"
