Police Searching for Man Shot At By Mullica Township Police
The suspect is believed to have abandoned his vehicle in Galloway Township.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating an officer-involved shooting, which occurred Thursday evening in Mullica Township.
On. Nov. 21, during the course of a motor vehicle stop conducted at approximately 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of Mill Road and Darmstadt Avenue, a Mullica Township Police Officer discharged his service weapon following an incident involving a male suspect. Following the discharge of the firearm, the suspect, who's identity has yet to be confirmed, fled in the vehicle.
The suspect subsequently abandoned the vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Galloway Township. Police are currently searching for the male in Mullica Township and neighboring municipalities.
The Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is urged to call Major Crimes at 609-909-7666.
