Prosecutor: Atlantic City Police Officer Stabbed, Man Shot

ATLANTIC CITY - An Atlantic City police officer is in stable condition at AtlanticCare Medical Center after he was stabbed early Friday evening, according to a post on the Atlantic County Prosecutor Office's Facebook page.

The officer was stabbed at around 6:30 p.m. at the 600 block of North Kentucky Avenue. An unidentified man was shot by police in the same location, the post states.

The man who was shot was also taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center—City Campus.

"This is an active investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit...No other information will be released at this time," the post says.
