Three Injured in White Horse Pike Crash

One driver in the Galloway Township crash is issued a summons for DWI, the other for failure to yield.

A two-car crash late Friday night on the White Horse Pike in Galloway Township injured three people, caused a 30-minute traffic detour and resulted in a summons for driving while intoxicated.

According to a news release from the Galloway Township Police Department, Michelle Kolb, 43, of Egg Harbor City, was traveling westbound on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) in her 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix approaching the intersection with Cologne Avenue when Katie Seaver, 22, of Blackwood, made a left turn onto Cologne Avenue from the White Horse Pike, causing both vehicles to collide at about 11:40 p.m. Aug. 2. Seaver was driving a 1994 Chrysler New Yorker.

Due to the accident, westbound traffic on the White Horse Pike was detoured for approximately 30 minutes. All three individuals involved in the accident complained of minor pain and were treated on scene by Galloway Township EMS.

As a result of the accident investigation, Seaver was issued a summons for Failure to Yield to Oncoming Traffic. Kolb was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, police said.

During the accident investigation, Michelle Kolb's passenger Daron Kolb, was placed under arrest by police for several charges, including obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment.  He was released on a summons pending a future court date.
