Woman Attempts Armed Robbery In Atlantic City Store: Police
An Atlantic City woman armed with a knife attempted to rob Ocean Body Oil and threatened to stab a clerk, police said.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Atlantic City woman was arrested Tuesday after she attempted to rob a store and threatened to stab a clerk, police said.
Atlantic City police responded to Ocean Body Oil in the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue for a report of a woman armed with a knife refusing to leave the store.
Upon arrival, police found Octavia Watson, 28, was still inside the store holding a knife.

Officers gave numerous commands to Watson to drop the knife as she continually refused. Watson yelled that she was going to kill the store clerk, according to police.
Officers spoke to Watson for several minutes, pleading with her to drop the knife. Watson complied and was taken into custody without incident, authorities said.

An investigation determined that Watson entered the store armed with the knife and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk refused to hand over any money, police said.
Watson was charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Watson was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
