Ballot Drawing For Camden County BOE Elections To Be Livestreamed
The blind drawing for ballot position in the Camden County school board elections will be livestreamed only as COVID-19 cases surge.
CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — As the delta variant fuels a drastic increase number of new coronavirus cases in New Jersey and Camden County, county officials will once again hold their drawing for position on the ballot for nonpartisan school board elections virtually.
In New Jersey, school board candidates and members do not run or govern with a party. There is no primary, and they declare separately, and these governing bodies are designed to be nonpartisan.
Because of this, each county holds a blind drawing to determine where each school board candidate will appear on the ballot. Statewide this year, that drawing will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 9.
