Hearing on Outlets, Cinderella Takes the Stage This Week

A Planning Board hearing Tuesday could move plans along for the Gloucester Premium Outlets.
Representatives for Gloucester Premium Outlets will appear to discuss plans for the outlet shops at the Black Horse Pike and Route 42. Officials said the project could create 300 construction jobs, plus 700 permanent retail jobs.
The Planning Board meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Municipal Hall.Â

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the story of Cinderella will play out on the stage of the Dennis Flyer Theatre at Camden County College in Blackwood.
Audiences of all ages will cheer with delight when the slipper fits in the timeless tale of Cinderella, G2K, Get to Know. This shortened adaptation of Rogers and Hammerstein’s production is perfect for young theatergoers. The magic and whimsy of the original show is preserved in every moment with Cinderella, her fairy godmother, Prince Charming and friends. Travel with them to the royal kingdom in Mainstage Center for the Arts’ production of Cinderella, G2K.

The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Purchase tickets online at mainstage.org or call 856-227-3091.
The Senior 3-H Inc. will meet on Wednesday at noon at the Hider Lane Senior Center. The meeting includes socializing, lunch and bingo.
A beef and beer fundraiser will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Gloucester Township Democrats Club, 131 Coles Road. The event will benefit the township’s Field of Dreams project to construct a handicapped-accessible turf athletic field.

The Blackwood Farmers Market holds court Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Camden County Library on the Black Horse Pike. The market is open weekly through the October.
The Senior Bus features stops at the Deptford Mall, Deptford strip stores and Lowes this week. Residents 50 and older ride free. The bus driver is Jean Gomez and can be reached at 374-3525. Municipal meetings this week include the council on Monday and zoning board on Thursday. All of the meetings are at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Hall, 1261 Chews Landing Road.
