COVID, Gym Owners Arrested: Gloucester Twp.'s Top Stories In 2020

GLOUCESTER TWP, NJ — The year 2020 brought illness, strife and death to Gloucester Township. It also brought community, perseverance and new beginnings.

Even as a total of 703 lives were taken by the coronavirus in Camden County, new businesses opened, UFO sightings were reported and Gloucester Township-area schools were named among the best in the U.S.

The community also mourned a local hero.

And, 2020 also brought with it the township's would-be attempt to break a world record – though thwarted by the pandemic – and a defiant business move in the area landed the owners of a local gym behind bars.
