Det. Tony Massi Named GTPD Officer of the Year
Massi received the honor during Wednesday's Gloucester Township Police Department Awards Night.
Det. Tony Massi was named Police Officer of the Year during the Gloucester Township Police Department's third annual Awards Night program, held Wednesday night at Camden County College.
Massi was not the only police officer or Police Department support employee to win an award at Wednesday night's event.
Police brass also honored Sgt. Donald Gansky as Police Supervisor of the Year, Joshua Smith as Special Officer of the Year and Kharen Hans as Dispatcher of the Year.

Chief W. Harry Earle also recognized retirees Cpl. Joseph Hertler, Ptl. Jeffrey Colman and Ptl. Allison McGuire during the two-hour event.
In addition to the honored township police officers, civilians who helped make Gloucester Township a safer place to live, law-enforcement officers from other agencies who assisted local police, and student winners in the 2012 Gloucester Township Public Schools' "Police and Community Pride" poster and essay contest were recognized during the event.

Gloucester Township Mayor David Mayer was joined by Council President Glen Bianchini, Councilwoman Tracey Trotto and 4th Legislative District Assemblyman Paul Moriarty at the third annual Gloucester Township Police Department Awards Night. Gloucester Township Public Schools Superintendent Thomas Seddon joined the elected officials on stage.
