Gloucester Township Hiring For Full-Time Court Clerk

The position pays $18.85 an hour for 35 hours of work a week, Monday through Thursday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township is hiring for a full-time court clerk, township officials announced this week. The position pays $18.85 an hour for 35 hours of work a week, Monday through Thursday.

While Gloucester Township residents are preferred, the position is open to all New Jersey residents. Applicant must have the ability to:

  • Assist customers at counter and on telephone in response to department inquiries, including computer file research.
  • Opens and processes daily mail and inquiries, and assist in any sorting and mailing collections. Assists staff with general office duties including filing, record keeping and file maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality; utilize good judgment and discretion.
  • Be accurate, attentive to detail, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, including excellent customer service skills.
  • Professionally make frequent contact with residents, other departments and general public.
  • Ability to handle inquiries and/or complaints tactfully and effectively.
  • Ability to compile information and/or numerical data.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work criteria.
  • Provide general, routine information in person and over the telephone; refers complicated or non-routine inquiries to appropriate staff.
  • Learn to perform specialized clerical work related to the department.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
